In Venezuela, new socio-cultural realities affect the lives of students and teachers. Complex scenario when education takes place in vulnerable and violent contexts, given that education is meant to help students adopt strategies to live in vulnerability, without diluting it, but without succumbing to it. This article invites reflection for a transformation and culture of peace in violent and socially vulnerable school contexts. It is a journey in which we intend, among different perspectives, to interpret and understand such realities, as part of the doctoral work initiated at the Latin American and Caribbean University, which it is expected to generate a theoretical contribution that will allow to reveal a pedagogy that enhances the approach to an education for peace.
