Introduction: Understand migration as a process with different phases or stages associated with specific health problems ranging from initial isolation processes to the problems of identity in the process of settlement, and the knowledge of reality and lifestyles of immigrants as an essential element to enhance and promote their health. Materials and Methods: A search of the literature. Results: Today, Spain is among the main recipients of migration flows, this phenomenon, coupled with the scarcity of research related to health habits and prevalence of diseases of the immigrant population, has generated considerable scientific interest in knowing the development demographic group. Discussion and Conclusions: Therefore, for the Nursing promotes health through the provision of quality care, avoiding risky behaviors and promoting healthy lifestyles, considering attitudinal and behavioral aspects of the patient is necessary to know a priori the evolution and impact of migration in our country and continent.
