Abstract
ARBOLEDA MORA, Carlos. Epistemology of the New Christian Social Teaching. Franciscanum [online]. 2011, vol.53, n.156, pp.17-49. ISSN 0120-1468.
The Christian Social Teaching is now the moral social theology of the Church. Its foundation and source are based on the conception of the man as an open being to the creative call of a Trinitarian God and not so much in a metaphysical concept of what God is, or on a certain political philosophy. The God's experience is originally on the base of any historical interpretation and of any charitable testimony of the Christians. Heidegger, St. Augustine and Saint Thomas can help us understand this new conception of the Christian Social Teaching that overcomes the problems of the classical ontotheology and sits itself as the response to a call and an original encounter.
Keywords : Christian Social Teaching; experience and testimony; theological epistemology; moral theology.
