Abstract Aims: Framing health in media impact in perceptions and behavior of audiences, also in the construction processes, communication and interpretation of health issues and questions. The aim of this paper is to show how the news in Mexican television (TVAzteca, Televisa and C7) address issues related to health; it present a preview of study in progress on framing health. Methodology: It´s resorted to a content analysis of a sample of 62 pieces, identifying the main variables -people actors and institutions, actions, geographic locations, physical spaces, thematic, possible reasons and approaches to news and gender approach adopted. Results: Preliminary research results show a reduced agenda focused on preventing infectious diseases and clinical treatment of biomedical problems (physical and psychological) health. Also should be noted the greater frequency of information institutional distributed by the Ministry of Health and IMSS.
