Abstract
BERNAL PATINO, Andrés Manolo; LAVERDE PERDOMO, Jennifer Carolina; PARRA ESTRADA, Natalia and SANABRIA ROJAS, Quira Alejandra. Preliminary characterization of colloidal system disseminated by specialized texts, and convergence of the established representations by chemistry pre-service teachers. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2013, n.33, pp.147-161. ISSN 0121-3814.
The main objective of this study is to characterize the degree of convergence between the developed colloidal system which has been disseminated in specialized texts and the representations (model) established by eight semester undergraduate students in a Chemistry Program at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. To reach the objective, it was necessary to select specialized texts in the consolidation of the theoretical system of colloids by using the technique known as convenience samples and a qualitative approach. The instruments used were: Evaluation Matrix, specialized texts in colloids and a questionnaire applied to the undergraduate students. The results show that some modes of representation like the Concrete mode and the Mathematical mode don’t have levels of convergence between the textbooks analysis and the report obtained by the undergraduate students. Finally, the researchers present the historical evolution of colloid concept, based on several documents that describe the use and applications of colloidal systems.
Keywords : Colloidal systems; multimodal representations (modes); historical-epistemological approach.
