Abstract
VASCONCELOS DZIEKANIAK, Cibele; ARIZA ARIZA, Leidy Gabriela and FREITAS, José Vicente de. Green Rooms and the Training of Environmental Educators in Brazil. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2017, n.41, pp.73-86. ISSN 0121-3814.
This article addresses the relationship between environmental policies and the training of environmental educators in Brazil, based on the analysis of the Environmental Educators Training Program (ProFEA), which brings together aspects of the National Environmental Education Program (PNEA). The potential of the Green Room Project of the Ministry of Environment (MMA) in the training of environmental educators is discussed in order to problematize their relationship with the challenges raised, analyzing their role as educational and democratizing structures of access to social and environmental information.
The methodology is based on bibliographical and documentary research, where documentary exploration is performed in two stages. First, by developing the Textual Discourse Analysis (ATD) of the ProFEA document using the Atlas technological tool. Second, by using reflective field notes, discussion lists from the Green Rooms, publications on the Ministry of Environment's (MMA) website and the analysis of internal diagnostic documents and management reports by the Department of Environmental Education (DEA).
The research reflects a process of knowledge generation, whose sociocultural aspect is represented by a policy that may be defined through a cognitive artefact in Environmental Education, insofar as it makes it possible to learn about the training activities of environmental educators in Brazil.
