Abstract
GONZALEZ, Eduar F. Aguirre et al. Application of multicriteria decision techniques for the prioritization of university teaching profiles. Ing. compet. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, e-21511967. Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 0123-3033. https://doi.org/10.25100/iyc.v25i1.11967.
The selection process for a teacher's profile in general, and even more for those that are subscribed to higher education institutions requires to fulfill academic, strategic, and scientific criteria, among others, this makes the search become a more difficult process even when multiple profiles must be defined at the same time. The main goal of this research was to design a tool that allows the election those profiles likely to be considered in the next call for teaching vacancies at the Universidad del Valle in Yumbo site. To start with the selection process, the articulation of the strategic plans of the university and its own regional in Yumbo site was taking as a basis, as well as the labor observatories and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MinCiencias), obtaining qualitative and quantitative information. To analyze this information, the application of the multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) techniques was proposed, such as, the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) and the technique for the order of preference by similarity with the ideal solution (TOPSIS), which provide a ranking of profiles with high relevance for the next call for teaching staff to occupy teacher vacancies for the Universidad del Valle in Yumbo site. The tool used offers flexibility in the number of profiles and criteria that are considered by the central administration of the institution at the time of opening the call, for which it was conceived as a viable selection mechanism to be replicated in similar cases. inside or outside the institution. The implementation of these multi-criteria methodologies allowed us to approach the objectivity required in the selection processes in any context, particularly the selection of teaching profiles in higher education institutions.
