Abstract
FONTALVO HERRERA, Tomás José. IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF BASC CERTIFICATION IN PRODUCTIVITY OF COMMERCE COMPANIES OF THE CITY OF BARRANQUILLA. rev.udcaactual.divulg.cient. [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.1, pp.273-280. ISSN 0123-4226.
This study presents the evaluation of productivity in compa nies in the city of Barranquilla as a result of their certification in the Anti-Smuggling Business Coalition (EECC). The methodology used was calculating the productivity indicators of the 38 companies certified at BASC. Next, the technique Multivariate Discriminant Analysis was employed, to explain the membership of each group and the discrimination of productivity indicators evaluated, resulting in the correlation between certified companies and increased productivity indices for 2008 and 2010. Due to the discriminant function obtained and analyzed statistics, it can be concluded that the BASC certification standard affects the improvement of the indicators Gross Profit/Value Added (IP1) and Operating Income/Value added (IP2) in the two periods analyzed.
