Within the framework of the Third International Congress on Nutritional Health in Early Childhood: Beyond Biological Determinants, we are sharing the experience of the National Institute of Perinatology on relactation as an effective intervention to improve exclusive breastfeeding rates.

In this document, we present some reflections on the relactation process based on the available evidence to date. We propose elements to be considered during interventions from a psychosocial, cultural, and economic perspective, as these factors often pose obstacles to the success of breastfeeding.
