Abstract

This paper seeks clarification about the relation between the armed conflict in Colombia and the poverty in the municipalities of the states that held the highest number of victims, violence events and extreme incidence of poverty, on the basis of official data. It is presented a short conceptual discussion about society, territory and conflict, an analysis of three most affected municipalities, in each of the eleven states, by the conflict and includes a general proposition for the determination of social and environmental priorities for peace in the Colombia territory.
