Some taxonomic novelties in Ericaceae from southwestern Colombia are proposed. A new species from Nariño department, Vaccinium singularis N. R. Salinas & Betancur, is described and illustrated. Sphyrospermum boekei Luteyn is proposed as a synonym of S. grandifolium (Hoerold) A. C. Sm.
