Abstract
GALLO-SANCHEZ, LINA JULIANA; AGUIRRE-RAMIREZ, NÉSTOR JAIME; PALACIO-BAENA, JAIME ALBERTO and RAMIREZ-RESTREPO, JOHN JAIRO. Zooplankton (Rotifera and Microcrustacea) and its relationship with the level water changes in Ayapel floodplain lake (Córdoba) Colombia. Caldasia [online]. 2009, vol.31, n.2, pp.339-353. ISSN 0366-5232.
The relationship between zooplankton structure and changes in the water level was studied between September 2004 and June 2005 in eleven sampling stations in the Ayapel floodplain lake (Córdoba, Colombia). The rotifers were the zooplankton group with the highest number of species while the copepods, represented principally by nauplii and copepodites, were the most abundant. Zooplankton density did not show statistically significant differences in the space nor in the time; however, it increased during the floodplain lake`s filling up phase.
