Abstract
HUESPE, Josefina. The impact of kinetic observables: sticking coefficient and thermal programmed desorption spectra on dynamic schemes in two dimensional lattice gas. Rev. acad. colomb. cienc. exact. fis. nat. [online]. 2017, vol.41, n.160, pp.298-305. ISSN 0370-3908. https://doi.org/10.18257/raccefyn.505.
In this paper, we discuss the effect of different dynamic schemes in the behavior of the adsorption desorption kinetics in two dimensional system. Sticking coefficient and programmed thermal desorption spectra (TPD) were obtained and checked using two techniques: Monte Carlo simulation and Transfer Matrix Method (TMM). This study was conducted for three schemes of the so-called hard dynamics, in which the transition probability from single site cannot be factored into a part which depends only on the interaction energy and one that only depends on the field energy, and for five schemes of the so-called soft dynamics, in which this factorization is possible. The results showed excellent agreement between the two techniques for sticking coefficient. TPD adjustments were aceptable considering the limitations of TMM.
