Abstract
LOPEZ-VALENCIA, Adriana Patricia and LOPEZ-BERNAL, Oswaldo. Methodological strategies for urban analysis in the face of climate change. An adaptive design matrix for informal settlements. Rev. Arquit. [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.2, pp.78-89. ISSN 1657-0308. https://doi.org/10.14718/revarq.2018.20.2.859.
This article presents research results about urban strategies to improve adaptability conditions of informal settlements facing climate change. The text aims to contribute in the knowledge of analysis factors and methodologies associated with geographic information systems that support the development of exercises focused on the generation of risk management strategies seeking to improve the quality of the built and natural environment and in this way, the quality of life and sustainability of the population that inhabits them. The construction of an adaptability matrix is proposed including the most relevant aspects for the analysis: the susceptibility and exposure to natural hazards, finally the factors are conceptualized and weighted according to levels of mutual incidence, obtaining an evaluation that would allow the modification of constituent elements of the built environment to face the effects of climate change.
