Recognizing that there are transgressed rights, as well as solid, alternative, and territorial tools to restore the whole around us, is part of the purposes, which are woven from the worldview of good living (Sumak Kawsay). This article allows to identify the socio-ecological relations, which the inhabitants of the municipality of San Gil, Santander have with the Fonce River. These are built on collective imaginaries, dialogues, grammars, and languages, which strengthen the feeling of communities, as well as their socio-environmental identity.
