Abstract

This paper analyzes the effects of land-ownership types on land-ordering in the country The study was developed from an academic review of documentary sources, statistical information, and related regulations. The results are divided into three sections: the first is about concepts and definitions around the property forms; the second describes the characteristics of each type of property and the third analyzes the relationship between forms of property, spatial planning and regional development. Results show the dynamic changes in concepts associated with soil- property land-property, and territory Restriction that property types cause in land management are also identified, especially ownership of the subsoil which appears as the most restrictive element in territorial planning. Multiple overlapping forms of ownership and the lack of statistical information on these topics are also highlighted. From the results it is highlighted the necessity of new research on the implications of state control over subsoil, on land-use planning; the importance of cleanliness about boundaries of each type of property by the respective administrative bodies. And relevance of access to statistical and spatial information, from which society could recognize the country territorial situation.
