This article evaluates the TPM implementation impact on different competitiveness variables for the companies that are working on it at the AMVA and near easterly regions, finding that there is not a clear relationship between the improvements reached and the main returns, efficiency and even in the results obtained in key business indicators such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), failures (breakdowns) and throughput.
