Abstract
MARIN CARDONA, Pablo Felipe and CUARTAS TORRES, Camilo Alberto. Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Towards a Practica! and Conceptual Reflection. rev.univ.empresa [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.43, pp.1-. Epub Nov 25, 2023. ISSN 0124-4639. https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/empresa/a.12044.
Over the last decade, the definition of entrepreneurial ecosystems' became relevant in management and business-related research fields. In this sense, the term has been used in different documents to describe the political, social, economic, cultural, and environmental interactions that allow the development of entrepreneurial activity in a region. The academic communities rapid acceptance led to the arbitrary use of the term to name any collective entrepreneurial phenomenon, even though it does not bear any similarity with an ecosystem itself. Consequently, this article condenses a good part of the existing bibliography on the matter, tries to elucidate what an entrepreneurial ecosystem is, and proposes a discussion around the importance and limitations of this field regarding academic and practice levels.
Keywords : Entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial ecosystems; reflection.
