Abstract

ALZATE, Paola  and  GIRALDO, David. Blockchain Research Trends in the Supply Chain: Transparency, Traceability and Security. rev.univ.empresa [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.44, e11.  Epub Mar 08, 2024. ISSN 0124-4639.  https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/empresa/a.12451.

The complexity of the modern supply chain requires the implementation of emerging technologies to meet the information needs of all stakeholders. Among these technologies, blockchain is characterized by immutability, traceability and easy query of information in each transaction. In this context, the objective of this review is to identify and analyze research trends in the application of blockchain in the supply chain based on a review of the original and structural studies on this topic. As a methodological orientation, a scientific mapping was performed using bibliometric procedures and a citation network analysis using graph theory with R-study, employing the Scopus database between 2000 and 2022. In conclusion, three trends in blockchain application were identified, focused on transparency, traceability and security of transactions made between actors in the supply chain, and the proposal of future research lines.
