PORRAS DIAZ, Hernán; RAMON SUAREZ, Jorge Hernando; MEJIA MELGAREJO, Yuri Hercilia  and  PARRA RODRIGUEZ, Javier Mauricio. AUTOMATED SYSTEMS FOR DATA ACQUISITION ORIENTED TO EXAMINE FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS. Cienc. Ing. Neogranad. [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.1, pp.79-98. ISSN 0124-8170.

This paper is a review of the main methods of data collection for pavement condition survey. The context in which this kind of data acquires its relevance is shown, as well as the description of each methodology outlined in the literature. Methods are primarily classified as manual and automated. Technological development has made possible to implement automated systems that meet the requirements for this task. However, the manual methodology currently remains as the most common.

Keywords : automated data collection for pavement condition survey; digital images; three-dimensional reconstruction.
