Abstract
PAZ PENAGOS, Hernán. Frequency division modulation orthogonal to minimize noise in Smart Grid applications over power line communications. Iteckne [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.2, pp.178-189. ISSN 1692-1798.
Nowadays, Narrowband Power Line Communications Systems (NB-PLCS) in the frequency range below 500 KHz plays an important role in building up a smart grid. However, the PLC channel is noisy and timefrequency- varying; limitations that must be minimized to enable a good alternative for this application. This article is a comparative analysis of the PLC channel response to narrowband data transmission with modulation OFDM, FFT and DWT processed and simulated in MatlabÒ. The result was that the DWT processing technique, using noise filtering, has better performance for NB-PLC communications.
