Abstract
DETTANO, Andrea. Transformations of Social Policy: Conceptualizations and Mentions of Consumption in Conditional Cash Transfer Programs. Trab. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.2, pp.357-378. Epub Apr 27, 2022. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v23n2.87446.
The aim of this paper is, from a documentary analysis, to observe the conceptualizations and articulations presented by the conditional cash transfer programs with consumption. The findings are synthesized in: writings that mention the CCTP'S as a modality that makes it possible to increase household consumption; those who associate these consumptions with the revitalization of the market and the economy; those that address the consumption that transfers would enable and, lastly, those that address the financialization that they enable. It is concluded that consumption is an element of great importance in these programs, that turns conceptually complex the object known as social policy.
