Contributions to the online fault diagnosis of interturn short circuit in three-phase induction motor by of means negative sequence components. In this article the current and the negative sequence impedance as fault indicators inter-turn short-circuit of an induction motor squirrel cage is used. The effect of voltage unbalances and different load levels in these diagnostic parameters is also discussed, which are calculated from data obtained from simulations using the Finite Element Method (FEM) and laboratory experiments.
