Abstract
PEREZ CORDOBA, ALDER LUIS and MORENO PINEDA, VÍCTOR ALFONSO. "The arachnid that gets language acrid". Forms of humor in Calle 13's lyrics. Cuad. linguist. hisp. [online]. 2014, n.24, pp.43-60. ISSN 0121-053X.
This article describes the various forms of humor in the urban genre music band Calle 13, through figures of speech. To that end, the band's four albums, singles and musical collaborations were revised, and some songs with a tendency to humor were selected. The analysis led to group the songs together according to three topics: social satire, the practice of 'dis', and male and female body images, from which the forms of humor and the figures of speech were interpreted. Satirical, ironical, humorous and comical forms of humor prevail among others, and the supporting figures of speech are, mainly, simile, metaphor, alliteration, metonymy and rhyme.
