Introduction. Noise is considered one of the high level pollutants that negatively affect life quality in urban centers and ecosystems. Objectives. To consolidate different integral environmental management strategies for noise in the Aburrá ´s Valley Metropolitan Area; to manage two stations of acoustic quality and to inform about the importance noise maps have. Materials and Methods. Different strategies were used, such as: information, training and academic sessions in the Metropolitan Area municipalities. Results. More than 60% of the community identifies traffic as the main problem and 85% of the officials that attended the activities ignore the existence of noise maps. Conclusion. It is necessary to consolidate awareness about noise problems and train the municipality officials about noise maps.
