Abstract

MORATTO VASQUEZ, Nadia Semenova; CARDENAS ZULUAGA, Natalia  and  BERBESI FERNANDEZ, Dedsy Yajaira. Validation of a Short Questionnaire to detect School Bullying. CES Psicol [online]. 2012, vol.5, n.2, pp.70-78. ISSN 2011-3080.

Bullying is a phenomenon with national and international recognition. Due to the great number of scales for measuring bullying in school population are extensive in content and application time, a validation of a screening context is required. This research has validated a brief and a short instrument for bullying detection, reducing the number of questions of the CIE-A questionnaire by Cuevas. The Factorial analysis confirmed the existence of three dimensions: intimidation, Symptomatology and intimidation by bullies. The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed by the coefficient of internal consistency Cronbach's O.(alpha). A higher score of 0.70 is considered as an acceptable internal consistency.
