Abstract

The objective was reflecting on the challenges of the social process of population aging from the perspective of the right to social development. Considering the human rights framework as maximum of legitimacy to define social problems, in this research work deals with arguments on the right to social development in order to situate the status of the welfare that it sucks when you take the approach of the law in the definition of social needs, specifying conceptual aspects for the understanding of the social/human development, its approach in political/social programs for the groups of attention accorded priority; finally offered arguments that allow you to identify the needs, problems and social issues in relation to the aging process, exemplified with the case of the Mexican society.
