Abstract

DEL VALLE IDARRAGA, Mónica María. Glosa paseada bajo el fuego y la lluvia: Five Lenses to See Chocó. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2011, vol.2, n.4, pp.71-85. ISSN 2145-8987.

Based on the general premises of Ecocriticism, this article explores the ways in which nature and its inter-relation to human beings is created in Glosa paseada bajo el fuego y la lluvia, a work by Carlos Arturo Caicedo Licona, a writer from Chocó, Colombia. Five instances of that representation are analyzed as pieces that, while describing practices, conceptions, beliefs and cartographic descriptions, structure an idea of Chocoan identity previous to current identity technologies, such as patrimonialization and biodiversity.

Keywords : nature; history; ecocriticsm; chocoan literature; Caicedo Licona.
