Abstract
GARCIA, Laura Rafaela. CHILDREN'S LITERATURE AND POLITICAL VIOLENCE: READINGS ITINERARIES ON THE NARRATIVE MEMORIES OF THE SOUTHERN CONE. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.13, pp.83-98. ISSN 2145-8987.
The guiding research question is how to read the political violence in the Southern Cone authors who write texts for children. To test some answers, we will take as theoretical tools the studies addressing memory conducted by Elizabeth Jelin (2002) and Rossana Nofal's hypothesis that the horror of Argentina's military dictatorship is communicable through kids fiction. This work is a continuation of a study that focused on the texts by authors of Argentinian children's literature. We propose to expand boundaries and explore texts for children by Uruguayan author Mauricio Rosencof to advance their ways of telling the concentration experience.
