Abstract
GUZMAN BARNEY, Álvaro and RODRIGUEZ PIZARRO, Alba Nubia. Social Order Reconfiguration in the Middle of an Armed Conflict Situation: Case Studies of Three Municipalities in the Cauca State North Region (1990-2010). Soc. Econ. [online]. 2014, n.26, pp.155-184. ISSN 1657-6357.
This article presents the social order reconfiguration of three municipalities: Jambaló, Buenos Aires and Puerto Tejada, in the North Region of the Cauca State (Colombia), between 1990 and 2010. Following a comparative method, some independent variables are suggested (class, race, organization, collective action, and presence of armed actors, amongst others) and they are related to different types of local social order. The latter is conceptualized as a result of the social groups' agency and coercion from both the state and the armed groups.
Keywords : Social Order; Comparative Historical Method; Explaining Social Order; North Region of the Cauca State (Colombia).
