This text reviews María Emma Wills's last book, Memorias para la paz o memorias para la guerra. The objective of the review is twofold: i) it highlights the main contribution of Wills book, that is to show that a politic of historic memory building for peace must provide symmetric spaces among actors that evoke the pass in contradictory ways; and ii) it link the contribution of the book with legal theory thorough the idea that judicial decision is an space that generates memory and distributes participation spaces.
