Cet article vise à montrer que l'éthique du droit naturel thomiste est intelligible à un partisan de l'éthique du discours de Apel et Habermas. Pour ce faire, à la théorie du droit naturel de Thomas d'Aquin comme une grammatique du discours moral. La «traduction» dans la terminologie contemporaine thomiste, vise à établir un débat avec les promoteurs de l'éthique discursive, avançant la thèse selon laquelle, dans son rôle de contrôle au sens des propositions qui constituent le discours moral, l'éthique thomiste est supérieure à l'éthique du discours.
