Abstract
ZANOTTI, Gabriel J.. The philosophy of science and realism: the limits of the methodology. Civilizar [online]. 2011, vol.11, n.21, pp.99-118. ISSN 1657-8953.
The purpose of this paper is to outline an important limit of the hypothetical-deductive method for trying to solve the "realism/anti-realism" problem. In order to do it, I make a critical commentary on the "status questions" in the current philosophy of science, suggesting at the same time a line of research to be enhanced.
Keywords : philosophy of science; method; hypothetical/deductive method; realism; convention; best explanation inference; no miracle argument; creativity.
