Abstract

INFANTE SANCHEZ, Elena del Pilar. Determining factors for the development of tourism in Cundinamarca as a regional strategic activity. suma neg. [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.10, pp.40-48. ISSN 2215-910X.  https://doi.org/10.1016/s2215-910x(14)70008-4.

Tourism should not turn down the opportunity of being developed into litle known destinations in the future through a tourism cluster. The geographic concentration of suppliers of services nearby, the interest of the public authority, and the participation of the academic community, and human capital, are elements that enable a particular case with potential to be assessed, as is the Department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. Although their dynamics in this activity are emerging, the government, business, the academic community and trade unions will find an opportunity for regional development in order to be recognized as a future tourist destination.

Therefore, as a result of this study, this article sets out the most important elements that can promote and increase future development of a proposed tourist cluster for the region.
