Abstract
ESTRADA ESPONDA, Royer David; LOPEZ BENITEZ, Mauricio and LASSO CARDONA, Luis Adrián. Flipped Classroom: Implementation proposal for a computer programming course. Rev. logos cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.3, pp.42-58. Epub Dec 21, 2023. ISSN 2145-594X. https://doi.org/10.22335/rlct.v15i3.1840.
One of the most widely used learning approaches is B-Learning, which seeks to combine face-to-face work with autonomous student activities. In particular, the Flipped Classroom is one of the most common active methodologies applied in B-Learning, which can be used in any educational modality. The objective of this study is the evaluation of the use of Flipped Classroom as a pedagogical instrument to support the teaching-learning process in the topic of repetitive structures, applied in the 2022-2 academic period, in an Object-Oriented Programming course at a university institution of Colombia. The research is quasi-experimental, with a quantitative approach. An independent variable and another dependent variable were defined. The hypothesis accepted is that the educational process was improved thanks to the developed proposal. The studied population was 73 students. A survey was developed for data collection previously validated by an ethics committee. Serious drawbacks are revealed in the Flipped Classroom that affect all actors in the process. For 92% of the students, the implemented strategy improved their learning process.
