Abstract
GARCIA-CACERES, Rafael Guillermo and OSPINA-ESTUPINAN, Héctor Rodrigo. Continuing evolution of model free. Evolution of trade zones in the world with an emphasis in the Latin American. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2017, vol.84, n.202, pp.221-229. ISSN 0012-7353. https://doi.org/10.15446/dyna.v84n202.59402.
Trade zones (TZ) has been an important pole as a driver of contemporary world economic development. The article presents the different typologies of the zones, and describes their evolution in the world, their economic and social impact and the distinctive factors of their development in the Latin America region. The results show that the region has one of the highest development dynamics of the TZ in terms of both number and employment, however, the impact is low in the development of value in both the human and innovation aspects. It is necessary to strengthen the TZ model that governments encourage the development of downstream productive processes and associated support processes, both in increasing value and improving the quality of life of human capital, as well as in the aspect of legal mechanisms in order to improve the international trade and thus to maintain the dynamics of development.
