Abstract
GUERRERO DUQUE, Stella. Psychiatric and Neuropsychological Sequelae of Surgery for Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2004, vol.33, n.4, pp.423-436. ISSN 0034-7450.
This patient underwent epilepsy surgery as definitive treatment for his temporal lobe intractable epilepsy. During the postoperative evaluation he presented with attention, working memory and anterograde memory deficit. Due to current technological advances, epilepsy surgery has become a plausible option for a growing number of these patients. Therefore, a careful assessment of the possible collateral effects emerging from this procedure is called for in order to determine the best way to access and treat them according to the clinical picture.
