Abstract
CERNA, ERNESTO et al. Resistance levels in populations of Tetranychus urticae in strawberry crops. Rev. Colomb. Entomol. [online]. 2009, vol.35, n.1, pp.52-56. ISSN 0120-0488.
Two field populations of Tetranychus urticae were collected from commercial strawberry fields in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico to be compared against a susceptible laboratory strain. The population called line L1 was collected from fields with miticide rotations; the line L2 was obtained from fields without miticide rotations. Both lines were taken to the acarology lab of Antonio Narro University where a series of bioassays were conducted using the leaf dipping technique in order to determine resistance levels in relation to the susceptible laboratory line N-s (susceptible line Antonio Narro University). The results indicate that line L1 shows a resistance ratio of 106.4, 3.7, 5.0, 1.4, and 3.5X for the products Abamectin, Bifenthrin, Dichophol, Fenbutaine oxide and Naled, respectively. Line L2 showed a resistance ratio of 57.4, 8.0, 11.2, 11.3, and 9X against the same acaricides.
