This article is the product of a documentary investigation. It analyzes, from the reading of some articles and books related to the topics of inclusion and reading education, how the reading of literary texts allows the understanding of the individual and collective reality of the students of primary, secondary and middle education of the city of Medellin. Through this analysis, we found that reading and literary training has been used in different specific contexts, from the home, to public and school libraries, as well as in cultural centers and events that revolve around books and literary culture, achieving that way great reach and acceptance. This research finds that, through the exercise of reading and literary training, links are achieved and the difference produced by exclusion is reduced. This way, reading and literary training is offered as a strategy, among others, that enable and strengthen the processes of educational inclusion in the school context of the city of Medellin.
