Abstract

From the ethanolic extract of the aerial part of Solanum validinervium, compounds 2-(4’-hydroxyphenyl)-ethanol, the coumarins sculetin and isoscopoletin, and a new glucoside of coumarin 1’-O-7-esculetin-4’-O-1’’-ethylenglicol-β-D-glucopiranose were isolated. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic techniques (IR and RMN-1H, RMN-13C in one and two dimensions).
