Abstract
ESCALANTE MOLINA, Luis Alfredo. Theology as The Argumentation of Faith at the Service of Life and Non-Violence. Theol. Xave. [online]. 2014, vol.64, n.177, pp.99-126. ISSN 0120-3649.
Theology should account for Christianity in terms of a vital religion; it should highlight the urgent need to overcome all sorts of violence and encourage Christian practice at the service of life and non-violence. The article discusses the role of Theology as the argumentation to be used in situations of violence and death, so common today in many places. It proposes the idea of Theology being relevant to and aware of such current contexts; in order to be so, Theology should become a discourse of faith inspired by a life-giving, life-preserving God who is alive, who has revealed himself through Jesus.
Keywords : Living God; non-violence; Christian practice; practical Theology; sacrificialism.
