This study describes the intonation patterns of five emotions -angry, sad, neutral, calm and excited- in assertive statements. The data was obtained from an oral acted corpus of three female speakers from Querétaro, Mexico. The analysis was based on the Spanish emotional prosody studies and its relationship with the bio-informational theory of emotion. Results shows a characterization of the tonal curve by emotion, with perceptible points of interest as reference for future descriptive or perception studies.
