Nowadays there is a difficulty in terms of the economical theory to establish a clear conceptualization of the informal economy. Yet, there is an unquestionable reality of an almost daily phenomenon that emerges locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally and takes part of the social and economical life in all countries: the so-called informal economy. This article shows how there is still no concrete definition to this economical phenomenon which in most case has been seen as something marginal that is only worth being repressed by the legal authorities.
