Abstract

This article analyses the main events that have characterized the world's financial crisis evolution between 2008-2009. Some aspects to highlight are the nationalization and reform process that the United States financial system has been facing, the compliment of the Basilea agreements and regulation sentences, the roll that risk qualifiers played and the applied policies in the post crisis period. Parting from these, the objective of this article opens the discussion on the financial regulation processes perspectives around the world, showing the path that the new international financial architecture might go through were incentive creation that grantees adequate liquidity handling is priority for risk level minimization in order to prevent future crisis.
