In this article, the results of a research to establish the translator's profile in Colombia are presented. A survey was sent to 57 translator and 45 answered it. This profile of the Colombian translator can be drawn as a professional aged 36 to 45, living and working in Medellín and Bogotá with undergraduate and graduate degree mainly in translation, working as freelance translator full and part time from English into Spanish, and using computer tools.
