The competitive manufacturing priorities and their role in regional competitiveness: projections of the industrial sector in Ibague using a multivariate analysisAs prioridades competitivas de manufatura e seu role na competitividade local: projeções do setor industrial de Ibagué através da análise multivariada. Rev. esc.adm.neg [online]. 2013, n.75, pp.24-37. ISSN 0120-8160.

This article derives from the research entitled "Characteristics and perspectives of the manufacturing system in the industrial sector in Ibague". It aims at describing the impact of competitive priorities on their competitive capacity (Skinner, Hayes and Wheelwright), starting with the organizational strategy (Porter, Dess et al., and David) and the global environment (Wei et al and Mickeviciene et al). This study was classified as quantitative (Hernandez and Deslauriers) and the information and data were collected applying a well- structured questionnaire, interviews and direct observation. For data processing, the logistic regression and multidimensional scaling multivariate analysis using SPSS were used, which concluded that competitive priorities definitely influence the competitive capacity of such organizations.
