Abstract

The article carries out a reflection on the multiple functions of borders in the construction of Argentinean territory. It identifies different moments in Argentina's historical development that led to the elimination, shifting, establishment, or resignification of borders. The purpose of the essay is to identify, situate, and characterize three border archetypes and subsequently analyze the key elements for conceptualization.
