Abstract

VICENTE PEREIRA, Mirlei Fachini. Globalização, especialização territorial e divisão do trabalho: Patrocínio e o café do Cerrado mineiro. Cuad. Geogr. Rev. Colomb. Geogr. [online]. 2014, vol.23, n.2, pp.239-254. ISSN 0121-215X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rcdg.v23n2.37333.

The era of globalization is marked by the proliferation of events that expand modern productive circuits in the territory, while at the same time specializing locations. In Patrocinio, a municipality of Minas Gerais specialized in coffee production, it is possible to observe the new imperatives of the territorial division of labor, which create a unique situation in the region due to the expansion of globalized connections, while at the same time multiplying the activities and agents linked to production.

Keywords : agribusiness; coffee from the Cerrado of Minas Gerais; productive consumption; territorial division of labor; territorial specialization.
