This article stresses the necessary coherence between macro-economic and sectiorial policies , illustrated with di verse experiences of the last decade, where the aim of stability becomes contradictory with the aims of growth and employrnent, leaving sequels of damage in the main economic in dicators. There is also .an exposition of the characteristics of specific sectonal policy , posrit.inq out that it is , finally the implementation of monetary trade and fiscal instruments in support of production, where what is important is the agreements between the public and priva te sectors, the political decision to do it and the strength of the institutions.
