Abstract

The article presents a case-study concerning pedagogical practice as employed in the Foundations of Economics course. The objectives, text books, class methodology, evaluation and results are discussed. The course makes use of games and role-playing activities in the class-room. Students are evaluated by testing. The importance of going further than just syntactical understanding of content to semantic and pragmatic levels is emphasised.
